Make Money For Writing Things You Like

Everyone likes to make money for writing, but we often end up appalled by how uninspiring it turns out to be. I'm glad there's a way to write things you like and get paid for it.

When most people think about making money from writing online, I bet they imagine typing away at their keyboard, filling the screen with countless sentences on topics and keywords they don't even care about.

At least that's what I did, before starting fresh by turning my writing habits around.

Don't limit your writing.

Online writers often shy away from writing about things they like, especially if it's some relatively unknown topic online. They miss a lot of money and fun by only writing about the best-paying keywords.

You can make money for writing on little known topics.
This is no secret trick. Just a different way of looking at paid online writing. Since writing for money deals mostly with ad revenue, many article authors have assumed that their online wallets will remain empty forever, unless they stuff their articles with all the best-paying keywords.

Best paying keywords don't always pay best.

While it may seem unreasonable to think that way, realizing it early will save you some time and earn you more money. People find the best paying keywords using online tools such as AdWords and subject themselves to the mundane task of writing online articles about them, only to be paid less than anticipated.

Forget about keywords and focus on people.

Internet users are the real driving force behind search engine traffic. Your research should take that direction if you wish to make money from writing online. Instead of staring at the millions of monthly queries that send searchers to popular websites you couldn't compete with, follow the people who can't find what they’re looking for because of unoccupied niches.

There are thousands of unoccupied online niches.

While some are not worth your time, others will let you make money for writing things you actually like. After all, the Internet is filled with poorly written articles and low quality websites that rank high on particular niche keywords only because writers like you haven’t gotten their hands on them yet.

Those keywords are waiting to be written about.

In order to find the best niche keyword, think as a casual Google user would. Search the Internet for anything you like. Keep looking until you run into search results that don't fully satisfy you. That's your chance to write your own article on that keyword. Sit down and start writing until you're ready to publish, be it through HubPages, Triond or your personal website.

Google is on your side in this.

For many years Google's algorithm favored SEO experts and their dubious tactics of getting to the top of search result ranking. Last year's Panda update changed everything and now they are the underdogs when faced with legitimate competition from writers like you. The odds are now in your favor if you want to make money for writing.
